The Punk Syndrome is a documentary film about Finnish punk-rock band Pertti Kurikan nimipäivät (Pertti Kurikka’s Name Day), formed in 2009 by four mentally impaired men. The film follows the band’s journey from their rehearsal room to cult success. It shows the love and hate between them, the crying, the laughter. It follows the band as they perform at a festival for the first time and release their first album, their first appearance in the media, tour of Europe and as they grow to become one of the biggest bands in Finland.
