Lecture by Mirko Ilić called “Symbols of hate” is a scheduled for 08.02.2015. at 11:00 am at Mini Teater. The program is designed for students of second, third and fourth grade secondary school and students. The program consists of lecture and discussion with the audience.

Anti – Masonic posters exhibition, ceremonial opening on Sathurday, 07.02. at 6.30 pm

The opening of the exhibition “Anti-Masonic posters” will be on Saturday, 07.02. starting at 18:30 in the Mini Theatre. Exhibition dates from World War II and was presented in Belgrade from 1941 – 1942. The intention of the exhibition was to intensify hatred of the Jews at that time. The exhibition is owned by the world famous designer Mirko Ilić and is held as an additional program of the Festival of Tolerance.

Broken Silence film screening at 11 am on Sathurday, 7th of February,2015

The film “Broken Silence” shows on Saturday the 7th of February starting at 11 am in the Mini Theatre. The film is about the Roma victims of the Holocaust. Roma Radio reporter Orhan Galjus, born in Kosovo, with filmmaker Bob entropy, travels through Germany, Poland and Kosovo and trying to find out why the Sinti and Roma were silent about the genocide of their people. During World War II, half a million of them were killed. Step by step, Orhan reveals that this part of the history of Sinti and Roma is hidden and fears that future generations will become alienated from their roots. What these people who for centuries lived in Europe must do in order to be taken up seriously?

Tracing Jewish Heritage: A Guodebook to Slovenia presentation

Today at 11 am at the Mini Theatre will host the presentation of the book by Dr. John Premk and Mihaela Hudelja. The book “On the trail of Jewish Heritage: guide to Slovenia” is the fruit of many years of research in the field of Jewish Heritage in Slovenia. This first comprehensive guide preserved material evidence gives a historical overview that leads through Ljubljana, Bled, Gorica, Koper, Piran, Izola, Koper, Maribor, Celje, Radgona, Murska Sobota, Lendava and Beltinci. The book is enriched with numerous photographs, documents, maps, often neglected chapter in cultural histor.

Within the 1st Festival of Tolerance in Ljubljana two Educational mornings for secondary school pupils and students will be held. First lecture is scheduled for 05.02.2015 at 11 hours – Mini Teater . The program is designed for high school students. After the screening of “Run boy run” lecturer Branko Lustig will speak about his experiences in the concentration camps and the importance of mutual respect.

Festival of Tolerance Belgrade

Festival of Tolerance has ended its tour with a visit to Belgrade from 13th to 15th of November. Festival was set up in UK parobrod, Dom omladine Beograda and Ozon gallery in Belgrade and it has brought a part of the program from the original edition of the festival. Festival of Tolerance in Belgrade was organised with Hartefact fund from Belgrade, organisation that is contributing to european integration and democracry of the Balkan region by supporting creative and progressive forces in the region.

Festival was open with screening of the film Magic Men, most watched israeli film of 2014. in Dom omladine Beograda. Festivals film program consisted of twelve movies that promote tolerance and fight discrimination, hatred and violence.

Two educational morning were held in Belgrade, one about the Holocaust on which we screened Run, boy run, and one about Neofascistic symbols in our surroundings today, especially in sports held by renowned designer Mirko Ilić.

With educational mornings and film program, we held two exhibitions. Antimasonic posters exhibition owned by Mirko Ilić was shown in UK Parobrod. Posters were a part of much bigger exhibition held in Belgrade in 1941.

The second exhibition was Nothing about Anything from Srđan Ćešić and it was posted in Ozon gallery. It is a collection of media created on social networks that criticises todays society.

Festival of tolerance in Sarajevo

Festival of tolerance has arrived in Sarajevo. Our regional tour is continuing and festivals programs are open in Sarajevo during 7th and 8th of November. For more information about our programs, visit our web.

Festival will be held in Meeting Point cinema and it starts on 7th of November at 12:00 with an educational morning lead by Branko Lustig who will share his concentration camp experience and screen a movie “Boy with striped pyjamas.

The program consists of seven more great films which will be shown on the festival in Sarajevo.

Walk of rememberance

Antifascist leauge of Croatia and All of us for Croatia for all of us initiative are organizing walk of rememberance from Trg žrtava fašizma square in Zagreb to Central Zagreb Square, Trg bana Jelačića. Walk will be held on Sunday on 9th of November honoring the 76th anniversary of the Crystal night in Zagreb and Vukovar.

Program in Zagreb starts on Trg žrtava fašizma square at 12:00 and continues towards Central Zagreb square where a short film by Andre Salomon “Tell your children” will be shown.

In Vukovar, program starts at 11:00 on the Jewish cemetary.

On the 9th of November 1938. Europe has witnessed one of the most horrible crimes ever. Hate towards Jewish people has started series of events that culminated on that day, when Synagogues, Jewish homes and workshops, shops and schools were burnt and ravaged, Jews tortured and beaten. Nazi regime has taken away their right to travel, to learn, to work, it has taken their right to live.
